Charitable Project

We are honored to support the charity of great importance to our hosts – Great Lakes Santas, Inc. Great Lakes Santas is a 501(c) (3) that works to carry on the tradition of St. Nicholas, a Turkish saint who spent his inherited wealth to help the sick and poor – especially children. We will have a representative from Great Lakes Santas to share about the work they do.

What is needed: You can donate monetarily or bring items. You can write a check made payable to Great Lakes Santas, Inc. You will receive a receipt by mail shortly after the session. For items, Great Lakes helps toddlers to grade school children. You can bring new, unwrapped toys, clothing, hygiene supplies, pajamas, and anything to help children in need.

Swap or Sell

This is not intended for vendors, but for attendees to recycle their personal accessories/clothing. Here, you can bring your gently used Claus items and either swap with another Claus, or sell. The negotiations are strictly between the swapper and the swappee, and Santa Nana’s does not receive any of the proceeds. It’s our way of helping you to recycle your unused items and jazz up your own closet. We will have a member of Great Lakes Santas selling accessories with all proceeds going to help children in need.

Sessions

We have a mix of Santa Nana’s original plus new information to share. We’ll cover these topics and more, with breakout sessions to practice and share your experience and insights.

  • History of Women in Christmas (plus Santa and Elves)
  • Character on the Inside (developing your inner Claus)
  • Character on the Outside (defining your outer Claus)
